Modern Tour
The Modern Tour takes you all around the central part of Madrid, where you can see many different examples of how King Charles III modernized and expanded the city during the 18th century.
On this tour, you will learn about the history behind some of Madrid’s most recognizable sites from that era, including the Bank of Spain, Paseo del Prado, Puerta de Alcalá́, and Retiro Park, as well as more recent additions, such as the Metropolis building, Gran Vía, and Cibeles Palace.
You will also learn about some of Madrid’s best art museums—El Prado, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen Bornemisza—and visit the home of Miguel de Cervantes, often referred to as the Shakespeare of the Spanish language.
Don’t forget to bring your camera on this fun and photogenic city tour.
